The BcGSA has recently awarded the Spring 2020 mentoring fellowship to Slade lab members Ariana Umana and Kevin Williams. The two submitted an abstract and application for review by a panel of their peers and have been awarded funding for their project. Congratulations Ariana and Kevin, we can't wait to see what you two accomplish together! The BcGSA has recently awarded members Caitlin Cridland, Diane Eilerts, Blake Sanders, and Ariana Umana the organization's semi-annual travel grants. The funding awarded to these members will help them finance trips to conferences around the world, allowing them to share their research with those both in and outside of their field. The applicants were required to submit an abstract for their conference of interest, an updated CV, and a detailed outline of how they intend to use the departmental funds for their travel. The applicants were judged by a peer panel of other BcGSA members and the top applications were awarded the travel grants for the semester. Congratulations to these outstanding BcGSA members, we can't wait to see what work you'll share!
